Watercolor - Painting the Complicated Scene with Terri Brooks
Using your own photograph or one provided for you, learn to redraw it on your paper using a grid enlargement. From there you will be shown many different techniques for wet into wet, allowing color to mix on the paper, to using masking tape, magic erasers and mouth atomizers to add texture.We will also look at a variety of ways to stretch the paper to avoid rippling. We will discuss color intensity and value as well as home to direct the viewer’s eye around your painting.
Terri is a Group 8 Member, Signature member of New England Watercolor Society and Northeast Watercolor Society and associate member of National Watercolor Society. Her paintings have won many national awards. She has studied with well known watercolor artists including Skip Lawrence, Don Andrews and John Salminen.
