Loosen Up! painting with Rebecca Klementovich
Do you need to loosen up in your painting? Are your color palettes looking the same in your paintings? Or are you a beginner ready to do some art? This experimental abstract class will enhance your understanding of color and compostitions through guided examples and art history lectures influenced by the painter Kandinsky. Imagination is needed. Acrylic or watercolor-pick your weapon.
Klementovich now lives in the White Mountains of New Hampshire; however she lived in NYC for twenty years. She received a Bachelor in Fine Arts at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1992, with additional studies at Cooper Union and the Arts Student League in NYC. Her background as a Fashion Textile designer for twenty years influenced her serious color courage. She is a mom, Reiki master, and Yoga instructor. Traveling to Africa, Europe and the States has greatly influenced her work as well. She uses oil, enamel, graphite, and glazes in her art. Klementovich’s Abstract Landscapes has the bold exploration of color that depicts the New England landscapes similar to the Fauvism painters. Her unique gift of seeing colors and energy that float around the mountains and trees from her Reiki training, she incorporates in her painting. "Many people don’t see these colors; I hope show the subtle colors that move around the landscapes here in the mountains." She has been showing in galleries and charities in NYC, Brooklyn, Queens, Maine, and New Hampshire for fifteen years. Her first sale was at the Waldrof Hotel in NYC. "My friend brought me to the hotel and introduced me to an investor who later had a nervous breakdown and was transferred to Bellevue. The painting was carried through the famous lobby of the hotel back to my apartment," Klementovich explained. "I was able to keep the payment for the painting. After that wild experience I was hooked as a fan of the bizarre and magical world of art."
